(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — In the first technology – operations track session of day two at HostingCon 2010, R1Soft VP and founder David Wartell spoke about backup and recovery solutions in his presentation, “Backup Strategies for Reliable Data Protection”.
The presentation was of a more straight-forward sales pitch for R1Soft, as Wartell highlighted all the benefits of its flagship backup solution, R1Soft CDP, as well as new products.
The new CDP version 3.0 allows user to store up to 64TB of data per disk, provides durability and safety from crashes and power-loss, and the ability to exclude files from CDP replication.
Wartell also touched on its new product, R1Soft CDP Standard Edition, which is designed for providers who have customers with 1 to 5 servers or Xen Virtual Machines.
The disk-based backup software for Windows Servers can perform virtual full Windows server backups in minutes.
Wartell was certainly convincing in his argument for switching over to R1Soft’s backup products.
When one individual asked about a comparable backup solution during the question and answer period, Wartell went through a few competitors’ solutions and listed the many disadvantages and shortcomings of each solution.
