Authorize.Net Offers Comodo SSL
April 21, 2006 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Identity and Trust Assurance management solution provider Comodo (comodo.com) announced on Friday that Authorize.Net (authorize.net) has signed an exclusive multi-year agreement to offer Comodo’s range of public key infrastructure-based secure sockets layer certificates.
Comodo’s line of PKI-based certificates is designed for merchants to create a trusted online experience and includes instant and premium high assurance level SSL certificates. The companies say the premium SSL certificates ensure that legitimate Web merchants have a highly secure connection to the Authorize.Net payment gateway for optimum data transaction encryption and protection.
Authorize.Net merchants will be able to display the Comodo TrustLogo Site Seal, providing their customers with Web site identity assurance by linking to a real-time database to confirm the validity of Comodo’s SSL certificates.
“With an SSL certificate issued by Comodo, merchants will be assured that all data passing between their Web site and the Authorize.Net Payment Gateway remains secure and confidential,” says Roy Banks, Authorize.Net president. “In addition, by displaying the Comodo TrustLogo Site Seal, our merchants are sure to boost their customers’ trust and confidence.”
