AT&T Signs IMSS Networking Contract

March 8, 2005 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Global communications provider AT&T (att.com) announced on Tuesday it has signed a three-year contract to provide a secure networking solution for medical imaging systems integration provider Image Management Systems and Support Corp. The agreement expands on an existing relationship with AT&T for voice and data services.

IMSS provides healthcare institutions such as hospitals and laboratories with a secure online environment where they can store and share digital medical images and reports. Storing documents with IMSS enhances and expands medical experts’ abilities to consult on diagnoses or recommended treatments, regardless of location or time of day.

AT&T will deploy an Internet protocol virtual private network and host the IMSS Web servers in its Arizona Internet data center, providing IMSS with complete 24-hour access to data and business continuity capabilities.
