AT&T Launches SMB Hosting Plans

April 17, 2008 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Telecommunications provider AT&T (att.com) announced on Wednesday that it has launched new Web hosting and website design solutions, which specifically target the small to medium-size business market to help them boost operations more cost-effectively.

The new services include building new websites for companies or improving existing websites. AT&T says that it will also help businesses sell products or services online, establish an online community, manage company email, distribute digital content, host a gaming server or run a host of business applications.

The company says that all hosting plans include an intuitive user interface, search engine submission and optimization, banner ad creation, email management and website traffic reports.

According to the AT&T Web hosting website (att.com/webhosting), shared hosting packages start at $12.95 per month, virtual dedicated servers begin at $79.95 per month and managed dedicated servers start at $349 per month.

“More small and midsize businesses want enterprise-class Web hosting without the enterprise price tag, and these solutions fill the gap between a simple Web hosting plan and a fully managed enterprise solution,” says Roman Pacewicz, senior VP of regional business marketing at AT&T. “Our website design services give small businesses the features they need to get up and running quickly and start doing business right out of the gate, all from a company that understands what small businesses need to succeed.”

Last month, AT&T announced that it was expanding its data center network with a focus on Boston, Massachusetts, Dallas, Texas, Amsterdam, Netherlands and Singapore.
