AtMail Launches Email Archiving Software

(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Allowing organizations to quickly resolve disputes and prevent litigation, Linux-based email management appliances and software provider AtMail (www.atmail.com) has unveiled ArchiveVault, a new application that lets organizations archive emails for an unlimited number of users.

According to AtMail’s announcement late last week, ArchiveVault indexes and archives all emails and attachments in a user-friendly web interface, simplifying email management and helping organizations meet growing compliance regulations related to email storage. ArchiveVault provides email system administrators with the ability to capture, store, and recover incoming, outgoing and internal email, as well as the ability to quickly search all email.

“Legal discovery requests and email archiving requirements have some of our customers scrambling to catch up, asking us how they can gain the capabilities available in the ArchiveVault Appliance,” AtMail sales vice president Corey Bissaillon said in a statement. “AtMail is committed to meeting our customers needs and as such we are answering their requests to allow administrators the flexibility they need.”

Maintaining secure records of business-critical communications, transaction and intellectual property is especially important in order to comply with the Sarbanes-Oxley act, the new Federal Rules of Civil Procedure, HIPAA, the Freedom of Information Act and other regulations, according to AtMail.

The ArchiveVault software is available to download now for a one-time fee of $2,500.

Last month, AtMail’s email system was chosen by the Rwanda Development Board to provide a single platform for customizable email accounts and mobile messaging to all Rwanda’s government agencies.
