July 2, 2003 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — According to a notice posted by Atlantic.Net (atlantic.net) on Feature Price’s Web site (featureprice.com), all sites hosted by Feature Price are currently offline because of a dispute over access to equipment.

Atlantic.Net acquired the assets of Feature Price on May 21, which included a reported 40,000 customers. Since that time, Atlantic.Net has been working to transition Feature Price customers to Atlantic.Net?s infrastructure.

According to Atlantic.Net, the former entity of Feature Price denied Atlantic.Net employees access to Feature Price?s equipment. Shortly after access was denied, all service to Feature Price customers ceased due to factors that are, according to Atlantic.Net, “unknown at this time.”
r
r
Feature Price customers who have already signed up for an Atlantic.Net Web hosting account are unaffected.

The statement said “Atlantic.Net cannot provide a time frame for service to be restored, however we are working closely with all available professional, legal, and law enforcement channels to restore service to Feature Price?s customer base as quickly as possible.”

Founded in 1994, Atlantic.Net says it has close to 100 employees, has doubled or tripled revenues annually, and has remained profitable every year since inception. The company has been named to the Inc 500 list of the nation’s fastest growing privately held companies for three consecutive years.
