Atlantic.Net Opens Orlando Data Center

February 7, 2003 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Privately-held Internet service provider Atlantic.Net (Atlantic.Net) announced on Thursday that it has opened a data center in Orlando, Florida that will serve as the hub of the company’s network and will be its second-largest employee base in Florida.

Built in 2000 at a cost of $14.5 million, says Atlantic.Net, the 25,000-square-foot facility includes a sophisticated technology infrastructure and provides high-end hosting services to meet the advanced needs of online business. The facility includes locking colocation cabinets, chain link cages and roof rights for antenna systems, as well as a state-of-the-art network operations center, a conference room and staff offices.
