October 14, 2004 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Data management software developer Datacenter Technologies (datacentertechnologies.com) and Atempo (atempo.com), a developer of information life-cycle management and data backup solutions, announced on Wednesday that they have entered into an original equipment manufacturer agreement.
Under the arrangement, Atempo will license modules from Datacenter Technologies’ DC-Protect Software for its own PC Protect solution. Atempo PC Protect, available for both Windows and Linux, allows simultaneous backup of large numbers of desktops and notebooks with minimal network bandwidth and back-end storage. The solution is also used as a long-term storage system for user data.
