September 18, 2002 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — ASP solution developer GrowthOrchard LLC (BillingOrchard.com) said on Monday that it has introduced BillingOrchard, an online billing application designed to help small businesses maintain monthly and hourly billing operations.
The company says BillingOrchard differs from traditional invoicing software in that it was developed to meet the needs of Web developers and small hosting companies, rather than those of accountants. Web designers, freelancers, contractors and hosting resellers have responded positively to the software, invoicing over $1.5 million since the product?s launch in June.
“As the owner of a small web design and hosting firm, it became apparent over the years that maintaining the billing for our clients was overly time consuming, and not very efficient,” says Craig Rowe, partner and lead developer of BillingOrchard. “Employing traditional software packages did not allow our remote offices and contractors to share data, and most were written for accountants. We aimed to develop a product for the SME and IT professional market, and are confident that we have done so.”
