Arsys Announces Beta Launch of Custom Cloud Infrastructure Solution CloudBuilder

(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Spanish managed hosting and cloud computing services provider Arsys (www.arsys.es) has launched a beta version of CloudBuilder (www.arsyscloudbuilder.com), a solution that lets customers deploy their own high-availability, virtual data center within minutes.

CloudBuilder promises an efficient pay-per-use system with no initial investment required, as well as the flexibility to increase or decrease resources as needed. According to Arsys’ Thursday announcement, CloudBuilder is available free of charge to a limited number of customers prior to its commercial launch, which the company expects to take place within the next few weeks.

“CloudBuilder is a pioneering scheme for the Spanish Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) market, and one that breaks away once and for all from the concept of hosting that has prevailed in recent years,” Arsys commercial manager Nieves Franco said in a statement. “The application of cloud computing to the technology solution market is generating new, more efficient business models that call for a more flexible, more profitable infrastructure. CloudBuilder is Arsys’ response to this new generation of technology solutions”.

According to Arsys, CloudBuilder is aimed at medium and large firms, universities, IT integrators, software developers, advertising agencies and Internet companies. CloudBuilder is designed to provide the flexible, high-performance infrastructures required by these sectors, as well as the ability to customize them to their needs, with versatile hardware and software management capabilities. As well, security and stability have factored heavily into CloudBuilder’s design.

The platform is based on the VMware vSphere cloud operating system, and IBM servers housed in Arsys’ highly scalable, energy efficiency data center, capable of handling 15,000 servers.

Also, any CloudBuilder technology environment from a single server or several dozen can be managed from a simple control panel that provides complete management of firewalls, load balancing, different server and storage configurations, IP management, backup policies and resource resizing.
