(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Arrow Enterprise Computing Solutions, the business arm of Arrow Electronics, announced on Monday that it has launched an infrastructure-as-a-service for service providers to customize and deliver to their customers seeking hybrid, private or public cloud services.

According to the press release, Arrow ECS’ cloud infrastructure is built on PeakColo’s WhiteCloud Service which leverages VMware vCloud stack and NetApp’s SAN infrastructure.

Web hosts looking to resell cloud infrastructure to their clients may look into Arrow ECS’ partnership program as it allows them to white label the service. Arrow ECS says its infrastructure as a service solution provides support for disaster recovery, hosted virtual desktop infrastructure, hosted email, community clouds, analytics and cloud bursting.

“This service enables solution providers to sell and provision their own cloud offerings for their customers quickly, easily and profitably,” Lee Fawcett, vice president of Arrow ECS’ North American Fusion professional services program said in a statement. “In addition to obviating the expense of building and managing their own cloud infrastructure, this offering, built on PeakColo’s WhiteCloud Service, enables solution providers to maximize profit margins by providing their customers access to VMware licensing and highly efficient NetApp unified storage functionality on a pay-as-you-go basis.”

According to the press release, cloud computing provider PeakColo is a premier-level member of the VMware Service Provider Program and a VMware vCloud Powered service provider. It is also a NetApp Global Systems Partner. The cloud infrastructure is delivered out of multiple SSAE 16 Type II compliant data centers in the US and the UK.

“PeakColo is pleased to work with Arrow ECS to assist solution providers with augmenting on-premise solutions with higher-margin, usage-based managed services,” Luke Norris, CEO for PeakColo said in a statement. “As a testament to our commitment to supporting the needs of solution providers, PeakColo services are available only through the IT channel.”
