(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Business-class hosted email, voice, and collaboration services firm Apptix (www.apptix.com) announced on Friday that the company has named James Bond as vice president of product and software development.
Formerly Apptix’s director of engineering, Bond is a 20-year IT veteran with extensive senior management experience.
In his new role, Bond will drive the continued expansion of the Apptix portfolio of products and services.
“James is an industry leader with a track record of delivering innovative hosted products to market, both from his work with Apptix and from his overall experience in the service provider space,” says Dave Ehrhardt, president and CEO of Apptix. “He will be instrumental in building upon Apptix’s position as the leading hosted services provider, pushing our robust product strategy forward and delivering timely and strategic business solutions to our customer base and prospects.”
Bond has previously served as chief technology officer at IceWEB, president and CEO of The Seven Corporation, and vice president at SteelCloud and Dunn Computer Corporation.
He has had experienced in nearly every aspect of hosted solutions and data center management.
Bond was featured in a WHIR Q&A interview back in November 2008 where he discussed his interactions with “lone IT guys” and how they can benefit from working with outsourced solutions.
