January 4, 2002 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — AppliedTheory Corporation (appliedtheory.com), an Internetknowledge, development and managed hosting partner, announced it has beenpre-qualified by the State of Connecticut’s Department of InformationTechnology (doit.state.ct.us) to bid on and implement Internet and Web services contracts.
The pre-qualification gives AppliedTheory consideration by state agenciesthat seek outsourced e-government, e- commerce, Web and applicationdevelopment, legacy data integration, security, managed hosting and otherservices. AppliedTheory already has a substantial foundation of federal,state and municipal government relationships, with customers including theU.S. Department of State, USDA Forest Service, New York City Health andHospitals Corporation, State of Hawaii, and America’s Job Bank. The companyhas similar state pre-qualification status in New York, Texas, NorthCarolina and is awaiting determination from California.
