Amphus Rolls Out ManageSite 2.0 for Servers

August 20, 2003 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Amphus Inc. (amphus.com) announced yesterday it is shipping ManageSite 2.0, a blade server management solution that allows administrators to provision, monitor and manage heterogeneous servers from a single Web-based interface.

ManageSite 2.0 supports all servers with the Intelligent Platform Management Interface (IPMI) 1.5, a standard that defines common interfaces for the monitoring of server physical health characteristics and includes other system management capabilities.

“Enterprise data centers are heterogeneous server environments including many different branded servers,” said Henry Fung, CEO and chairman of Amphus. “ManageSite’s support for IPMI is a critical milestone for Amphus, extending its open architecture to support server platforms from many vendors. Having a single management tool greatly reduces the complexity and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) of data centers.”

ManageSite 2.0 runs on a Windows-based server and is capable of running on the Windows 2000 Server, Windows 2003 Server, or RedHat Linux platforms.
