September 15, 2004 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Software development and design firm AlphaZeta Inc. (alphazeta.com) announced on Wednesday that it has launched a data center facility designed to house data-heavy applications, enterprise-level Web sites and Web-based applications. The company also announced a hosting partnership program for design, communications and technology firms looking for a reliable, highly secure, customer-oriented hosting facility for their clients.
The AlphaZeta Data Center is located within the Equinix IBX facilities at the Lakeside Technology Center, the world’s largest dedicated telecommunication and colocation facility. With more than 1,150,000 square feet of available space, the Lakeside Technology Center hosts 10 of the nation’s largest telecommunication carriers.
AlphaZeta says the data center provides round-the-clock manned security, building perimeter and key access as well as closed-circuit TV monitors. Visitors are screened upon entry to verify their identity and escorted to their destinations by security staff. Additionally, all access points in the facility are controlled and monitored with biometric hand scanners and closed-circuit cameras.
