AlertSite Introduces SLA Manager

March 11, 2004 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — AlertSite (alertsite.com), a provider of Web site, Web transaction and server monitoring services, has introduced a new service level agreement (SLA) manager to its Web-based services, the company announced on Wednesday. AlertSite said the new SLA manager makes it easier for companies to monitor and prove compliance with the stipulations set out in service level agreements.

“Service level monitoring is becoming more and more important in today’s outsourced environments, and where internal IT personnel need to deliver proof of performance to management and customers,” says Ken Gross, CEO of AlertSite.

The SLA manager has been added to the Uptime ECT option for Web site and Web transaction performance monitoring. It supports the definition of service level requirements for uptime, availability and response time and also allows definitions for specific operational and exclusion periods.

“The SLA Manager will allow IT teams to effectively align IT operations with business requirements, define and report on service levels for critical IT services, offer the ability to understand the cumulative result of IT investment against your organizations objectives, and deliver proof of performance to both management and customers,’ says Gross.
