Alert Logic Sees First Half Growth in Clients and Revenue

(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Despite the economic downturn, cloud-based IT compliance and security solutions provider Alert Logic (www.alertlogic.com) has continued its strong record of customer and revenue growth in the first half of 2009, increasing its customer base by 61 percent and growing revenues by 53 percent from the same period last year.

According to its Wednesday announcement, Alert Logic’s customer growth spanned a wide range of industries including energy, technology, health-care and retail, which are all facing increasingly complex and burdensome compliance and security requirements — especially the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard set up by the six major credit card companies to increase confidence in online transactions.

“Most businesses expect their IT compliance requirements to continue to increase in the future,” Alert Logic president and chief officer Gray Hall. “We deliver full-service cloud-based IT compliance and security solutions, provisioned quickly and easily, for a predictable monthly fee. By making our solutions available directly or through one of our many service provider partners, our solutions fit any IT governance model.”

Since any company handling credit card data must comply with PCI standards, compliance requirements drove much of this growth, according to Alert Logic. Its cloud-based IT compliance and security solutions are designed to allow merchants to meet several critical PCI requirements easily and cost-effectively.

Other important milestones for Alert Logic since the beginning of 2009 include the release of a major update to its flagship log management product, Alert Logic Log Manager. Log Manager 2.0 now features a new, grid-based, storage architecture as well as improved search and reporting capabilities.

Alert Logic has also continued to expand its Vanguard channel sales program with the addition of several new partners including Halock, Digital Discovery, Frontline and S3.
