Alabanza Gives Resellers Free Migration

March 30, 2004 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Alabanza (alabanza.com), a Web hosting automation solution developer and reseller, is waiving the standard $2.00 per site migration fee it charges its Web hosting resellers, the company announced on Tuesday. The Baltimore-based company said the now-free migration service helps resellers realize significant savings and ensures operational continuity when migrating to the Alabanza network.

Web hosting reseller DrakNet (drak.net), which recently lost 400 customers, took advantage of the service and migrated 1,300 of its customers to Alabanza’s network. Alabanza said the process took only two days and did not require any downtime.

“When my Web hosting provider suffered an outage and failed to respond to my repeated inquiries, I lost nearly one fourth of my customer base,” says Jennifer Bryan, president of DrakNet. “Once I contacted Alabanza their team quickly moved my sites to their network with minimal downtime and hassle, saving me thousands of dollars in potentially more lost business. By choosing the wrong hosting provider, I ended up losing instead of gaining customers.”

Alabanza serves 400 resellers, hosting over 175,000 Web sites worlwide.
