AIT Enhances Anti-Spam Service
April 21, 2006 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Web hosting provider AIT (ait.com) announced on Friday that it has enhanced its anti-spam service. The upgraded software scours through incoming messages, filtering messages based on rules defined by third-party companies who monitor known proxy servers, RBL lists and other spam senders.
“This is effective mail management for small businesses who don’t have the time or budget to institute intensive self-management systems,” says Clarence Briggs, AIT’s CEO. “In addition, this tool looks at phishing sites and possible issues with HTML newsletters, like viruses and bad links.”
While the service is free to use, there is a one-time fee for forwarding a user’s MX record. The tool is pre-configured, meaning that users won’t need to spend hours on building black and white lists, drafting rule sets and other tasks that mean time away from business.
AIT says users can read emails as normal, minus all the excessive junk mail. The service also ensures filtering without falsely identifying important messages as spam.
