AFCOM Reveals Data Center World 2009 Details

(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — AFCOM (www.afcom.com), an organization of data center professionals, announced on Friday the details of its upcoming Data Center World 2009 (www.datacenterworld.com), which will be held at the Marriott World Center in Orlando on October 4 through 7.

The first bi-annual data center conference features IT and facilities management practices, processes and solutions.

The first event was held at the Paris Hotel and Convention Center in Las Vegas in March.

On October 4, AFCOM will be offering virtual data center tours and live feeds of some of the greenest and highest density data centers in the world, including Green House Data and SuperNAP.

The conference will feature data center customer stories and case study presentations directly from the professionals that run the data centers for Microsoft, State of Vermont, University of Pennsylvania and Pacific Northwest National Laboratory on October 4 and 6.

The presentations will cover a range of topics pertinent to data center professionals, including trends around the cloud, intra-cloud, virtualization, consolidation, and containerized data center solutions, greening and energy efficiency, and recession-proofing.
