July 17, 2001 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Advanced Communications (act-usa.net) a leading remote management software developer, and Dialtone Internet (dialtoneinternet.com), a leading provider of dedicated hosting and collocation services, announced that they will join forces to provide management solutions for dedicated Windows 2000 Web servers.
As part of the agreement, Dialtone Internet will offer IBM Windows 2000 Servers preinstalled with Advanced Communications’ flagship product, Hosting Controller.
Hosting Controller is a multilevel server administration interface for commercial Web hosts that use the Windows platform, designed to automate most administrative operations and allows clients to manage Web sites remotely, without compromising security.
