(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Management software provider Acumatica (www.acumatica.com) announced on Thursday it will adopt the Application Packaging Standard for delivery of its integrated ERP and CRM software, enabling service providers to deploy and manage Acumatica applications.
The APS standard is an application packaging format enabling service providers to easily deliver hosted applications and services developed by independent software vendors.
Since it became available, many other software developers have announced they have integrated the APS standard in their own platforms, including Open-Xchange and Parallels.
Acumatica is a web-based financial, business, and customer management solution designed for small and medium sized businesses.
Using a single integrated system, SMBs can streamline business tasks such as accounting, financial reporting, business reporting, customer management, customer invoicing and vendor payments.
“The Application Packaging Standard is well suited for deploying our software in a hosted environment,” says Michael Chtchelkonogov, CTO at Acumatica. “Since we are web-based, clients can rapidly install the server components using APS and instantly access 100 percent of the application functionality using a web browser.”
Web hosting providers can use Acumatica with APS standard integration on standard Windows hosting plans including those associated with dedicated servers, virtual private servers, and cloud services platforms.
Unlike other ERP and CRM systems, Acumatica applications are integrated and designed to be hosted on-premise, at a data center, or on a cloud computing platform.
The company offers online demonstrations of its ERP and CRM software on its website.
