Act Today to Shape Tomorrow with Hans-Dieter Wysuwa of Fujitsu

Hans-Dieter Wysuwa, SVP corporate channels EMEA and managing director of Germany at Fujitsu delivers a keynote presentation

(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) –- The third keynote presentation of the day began on a rather sombre note.

Hans-Dieter Wysuwa, SVP corporate channels EMEA and managing director of Germany at Japan-based Fujitsu (www.fujitsu.com), conveyed his sincere condolences for the victims of the recent earthquake and resulting tsunami that devastated Japan, while encouraging people to donate to the country’s relief efforts.

Titled “Act today to shape tomorrow”, the presentation addressed the increasing security issues in the IT sector, and more importantly, how businesses can implement cloud strategies to combat these threats.

Rather then working individually, Wysuwa argues that security professionals, service providers, and the government should combine their efforts and work together to act against those individuals and groups who are “misusing the system.”

He recommended cloud strategies in the areas of governance for empowered employees, maturity for existing security processes, and analytics for metrics and reporting purposes.

Throughout the brief presentation, Wysuwa kept reiterating that he did not want to “bother people with marketing”.

Instead, he encouraged attendees to visit the booth if they wanted to know more about the specific details of Fujitsu’s infrastructure as a service solutions.

Wysuwa touched on Fujitsu Cloud’s value proposition and how it can benefit partners. He says Fujitsu wants to put its partners in complete control, or as he puts it, the “cockpit”, empowering them to take control of their security issues.
