(WEB HOST INDSUTRY REVIEW) — Hosting and cloud computing software 4PSA (www.4psa.com) announced on Wednesday that it has released the latest version of its DNS Manager software, adding new functions and features to its multitenant tool for delivering DNS services to service providers and businesses.

Version 4.0 of the DNS Manager software, says the company, simplifies the management of DNS zones, and provides more control to system administrators. It comes with more support for IPv6, an auditing layer that lets admins monitor user activity and a variety of other productivity improvements.

“Most companies have already started transitioning from IPv4 to IPv6. Our goal is to constantly improve our products and continue to adapt to the needs and requirements of our customers. That’s why we improved DNS Manager’s IPv6 capabilities,” said Elena Carstoiu, 4PSA’s VP of sales and marketing, quoted in the company’s press release.

4PSA says the DNS manager tool can be downloaded for free and used with up to 10 DNS zones. Commercial licenses start at $35 per month, starting at 2,000 zones and ranging up to unlimited zones.

A complete DNS Manager pricing chart for service providers is available on the 4PSA website.

The company says it recently introduced “cloud licensing” for its entire lineup of products (which includes the VoIPNow unified communications platform). The cloud licensing model is based on the principles of cloud computing, and designed to provide a predictable flat-rate monthly pricing model with no up-front costs.

In March, the company applied the cloud pricing model to its VoipNow platform.
