3Tera Partners Form Basis for Global Cloud Framework

(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — European cloud developers and 3Tera (www.3tera.com) partners, Xseed (www.xseed.com) and European ScaleUp Technologies (www.scaleup.it), announced on Tuesday they are the first cloud services provider in Germany that are taking the initial steps in creating the standards and framework for a globally connected cloud.

The 3Tera-initiated cloud computing service targets global business development through partnerships.

Xseed and ScaleUp Technologies have both agreed to develop services offering new cloud computing technologies, as it strives to meet the growing global demand and conduct joint marketing activities in Japan and Europe.

Last month, ScaleUp Technologies announced that one of its lead developers, Christian Hacker, became the first person in Europe to be certified under 3Tera’s Certified Cloud Operator program.

The globally connected cloud partnership makes the best use of both companies strong points and helps develop services tailored for a global market.

As a first step in the partnership, ScaleUp Technologies will develop a service beyond its conventional hosting by using the API and architecture currently used in Xseed’s service, Libra.

Xseed will in turn use ScaleUp Technologies technology and development capabilities to help expand Libra service for rapid global development.

Both Xseed and ScaleUp use 3ter’a cloud computing platform AppLogic. Through its partnership with 3Tera, Xseed and ScaleUp is able to deliver a global cloud solution with AppLogic as a standardized platform.

“Cloud computing is an international development, because it creates the ability for companies of all sizes to access world class computing infrastructure anywhere in the world at affordable costs,” says Bert Armijo, SVP product management and marketing for 3tera. “Roughly half our new registrants are outside the US already and we’re excited that two of our most innovative partners are working together to deliver more global services based on AppLogic.”
