December 13, 2005 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Audio and video streaming provider VitalStream (vitalstream.com) announced on Tuesday that MusicGiants (musicgiants.com) has signed an agreement to deploy VitalStream's content delivery network. The technology will power the only high-definition music download service to feature the full digital catalogs of the major music companies.

VitalStream says its recent multi-million dollar infrastructure investment allows customers like MusicGiants to deliver high quality streams to customers. MusicGiants' lossless download service is the first commercial music download service to provide high-definition, digital recordings from major music labels including EMI Music, SONY BMG MUSIC ENTERTAINMENT, Universal Music Group and Warner Music Group.

MusicGiants is the also the only legal download service to offer all of its music encoded in Microsoft Corporation's Windows Media Audio lossless format. The technology enables MusicGiants to reproduce music up to 1,100KBps, delivering near-CD sound quality.
