December 13, 2005 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Web application acceleration systems provider Coyote Point Systems (coyotepoint.com) announced on Tuesday it has released a new set of application front-end systems and add-on modules designed for enterprise-class application delivery and traffic management requirements.

The new Coyote Point Equalizer Extreme II applications include an enterprise-class hardware platform that can handle up to 100,000 connections per second, advanced SSL acceleration, content compression, bandwidth management, application firewall rule sets and SNMP network management.

"Coyote Point provides cost-effective traffic management solutions that are sufficient for the vast majority of enterprise load-balancing requirements," says Peter Christy, principal of analyst organization, Internet Research Group. "These additions extend those cost-effective offerings further still."

The new application front-end systems and add-on modules can be integrated in any combination for server load balancing, application traffic management, SSL acceleration, content compression, bandwidth management and global load balancing on its multi-function Equalizer Series systems. Meanwhile, the new Equalizer Extreme II systems can process more than 100,000 connections per second with throughput greater than 1G per second.
