(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Providing expert advice in San Diego colocation provider American Internet Services' (www.americanis.net) acquisition of nearby colocation provider Complex Drive (www.complexdrive.com), investment banking firm DH Capital (www.dhcapital.com) has served as exclusive financial advisor to Complex Drive.
Serving the media, Internet and telecommunications industries, DH Capital advised Complex Drive, a quickly growing company with 20,000 square feet of San Diego data center space, in its acquisition by San Diego's largest colocation provider.
"DH Capital did an excellent job representing Complex Drive in the deal process," Complex Drive chief executive officer Joe McMillen said in a statement. "We looked to them for representation, guidance, knowledge and analysis. They provided a deep understanding of the inner workings of the colocation industry, which made the entire acquisition process run smoothly."
While the terms of the acquisition were not disclosed, the agreement stipulates that Complex Drive's integration into the AIS family will be seamless, and no staff or management positions will change in either company as a result of the acquisition.
Known for its customer support and innovation, Complex Drive will continue to deliver its carrier-neutral data center solutions to the local market.
"Even in this economy where money is tight and deals are hard to close, we are finding a significant demand for companies who deliver exceptional value in the datacenter / colocation space," DH Capital managing director Paul Stapleton said in a statement. "We are very pleased to have helped Complex Drive on its sale to AIS and it is indicative of the industry's resilience."
Founded in 1994, AIS is also one of Southern California's fastest-growing colocation companies, having recently opened a 80,000-square-foot data center, offering SAS 70 Type II certified offering carrier-neutral data center solutions. The acquisition of Complex Drive, the company said, helps create an unparalleled infrastructure for its San Diego customers' needs.
