December 3, 2007 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- UK managed hosting provider NetBenefit (netbenefit.com) announced on Monday that it will provide private members club The Hospital Club (thehospitalclub.com) with the hosting platform for its new social networking website. Unlike other social networks, the club's website is designed exclusively for a membership of creative entrepreneurs. The site can only be accessed by club members and maximum of five guests invited by each member. NetBenefit's dedicated servers will power the site, while providing scaleable bandwidth that will help to manage any traffic spikes as the membership and the volume of data uploaded to the site increases.
"The Hospital's new website is very different from other social networking sites since it is an extension of an already established business network," says Colin Bell, sales and marketing director for NetBenefit. "When a website is instrumental in not only its owner's business but also its users', it is of the utmost importance that both can rely upon the sufficient levels of resilience and scalability to ensure they remain online."
The social networking site will share the club's overall philosophy and will encourage members to develop their personal and professional networks, establishing a network of peers that will enable new talent to interact with more experienced professionals. Content will be generated by users and will include over 30 blogs.
Last month, NetBenefit reported revenue growth of 63 percent in recent annual results published by parent company Group NBT.
