Websense to Host Partner Conference

December 2, 2008 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Web, data and email security firm Websense (www.websense.com) will host its North American channel partner conference January 14 to 16, 2009 at the Loews Coronado Bay Resort in San Diego, open to all Websense reseller partners in the US and Canada.

This two day event, according to the company's Tuesday announcement, will focus on building an information security knowledge base, and also sales and marketing, in a combination of keynote presentations, breakout sessions and roundtables. They will cover topics IT solution providers can use to grow their security practices and maximize sales revenues and profitability. The conference will also feature business, sales and technical discussions led by the Websense team, customers and industry leaders.

"The Websense 2009 Partner Conference will provide our channel partners with the knowledge, expertise and business advantages they need to market and sell security solutions to small and mid-size businesses and enterprises," Websense Americas senior vice president of sales David Roberts said in a statement. "Partner enablement has always been at the core of our ChannelConnect Global Partner Program and will play a significant role at our Partner Conference. The agenda is packed with valuable sessions that will help our partners build successful security practices, increase their customer value, and make more money selling Websense solutions."

Websense will also unveil "a comprehensive overview of the company's stated vision and strategy," according to the company, giving partners an inside look at the Websense product pipeline, and several new marketing resources and channel programs that will be launched in 2009. The deadline to register is Wednesday, December 10.

Websense's San Diego conference announcement has come at a time when many overseas conferences have recently ended including the second annual Data Centers Asia 2008 (www.datacentres.com/dca) conference and expo held November 12 to 13 in Singapore; the Telecoms World Middle East (www.terrapinn.com/2008/twme/) conference held in Dubai November 17 to 20; and Sedo's third annual SedoPro Partner Forum (www.sedopropartnerforum.com) held in France October 26 to 28.
