December 2, 2008 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Managed hosting provider Verio (www.verio.com) announced on Tuesday that it has appointed Gus Salamoun its senior VP of global service delivery.
In this role, Verio says Salamoun will be responsible for leading its customer care and operations teams "to further enhance the overall Verio customer experience as well as the successful deployment and support of Verio's products worldwide."
"We are very pleased to have Gus join our team and believe his impressive array of IT leadership skills and demonstrated global success will be a key driver to the continued growth of the company," says Kiyoshi Maeda, president and CEO of Verio. "His solid track record and commitment to enhancing the overall customer experience will build upon the strong foundation we have established to date and will be paramount to supporting our customers and products now and in the future."
A 20-year veteran in the industry, Salamoun joins Verio from SITA where he most recently served as VP of global operations and information technology services and was responsible for leading customer support efforts, system installation processes, data center management and application services both domestically and abroad.
Prior to his time at SITA, Salamoun held positions at EDS as well as Bell Sygma and SHL Systemhouse.
This news follows Verio's announcement a couple of weeks ago that it has launched an email compliance services package to help small and medium-sized businesses manage risk and maintain compliance regarding federal regulations impacting corporate messaging policies.
And in October, Verio announced it has launched its newly revamped viaVerio channel partner program and partner website, ViaVerio.com.
