(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Data center operator FORTRUST (www.fortrustdatacenters.com) announced on Tuesday it has added a strong suite of information security services marketed as FORTRUST Managed Security Services, to its data center services portfolio which will be marketed as FORTRUST Managed Security Services.

The news follows the company's launch of its Fortrust Managed Services earlier this year, which enables customers to outsource the management, monitoring and maintenance of their applications and information systems to the company.

The new security services suite will complement the data center's set of managed services and colocation offerings, enabling customers to outsource administration of information security services so that they may better identify, manage and mitigate their security weaknesses and receive enhanced protection of their data and networks.

As a result, FORTRUST says it provides its customers with increased information security without having to invest in costly systems and on-premises security hardware.

"We're pleased to offer FORTRUST data center customers another valuable service that enhances the security, performance, and availability of their IT investment," says Rob McClary, general manager of FORTRUST. "FORTRUST Managed Security Services is a practical, comprehensive and cost-effective way for our customers to increase the integrity of their networks and data so that they can focus on their core business competencies while reducing operating costs."

FORTRUST Managed Security Services feature ongoing security audits and assessments, strategic planning and information security program development, technology implementation and vulnerability mitigation, day-to-day IT security operations and support, and policy and compliance strategies for a broad range of industries.

The company will work with service solutions provider Applied Trust Engineering (www.atrust.com) to support the information security solution portion of its security solutions offering.

As a provider of information security and network/systems infrastructure consulting services, Applied Trust Engineering was selected for its focus on information security as a core competency, as well as its ability to scale its solutions to meet FORTRUST's projected growth.

FORTRUST provides a range of data center offerings including adaptable colocation space for any-size enterprise supported by power infrastructure, connectivity and physical security as well as a suite of managed services to safeguard business services.

In October, the company completed its $30 million Denver data center expansion project, which features more than 48,000 square feet of renovated space, bringing its total investment in the facility to more than $100 million without incurring debt.

The WHIR's Anastasia Tubanos recently discussed with Fortrust representatives the expanded facility onsite for a WHIR TV feature.
