November 17, 2005 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Domain registrar and Web hosting provider Go Daddy (godaddy.com) announced on Thursday that its founder and president Bob Parsons is the 2005 winner of the prestigious "Ed Denison Business Leader of the Year Award." The award was rewarded to Parson last night at the Governor's Celebration of Innovation Awards dinner in Phoenix.

As the creator of GoDaddy.com, Parson has transformed it into the No. 1 registrar of Internet domain names around the globe, both in terms of new daily registrations and domains under management.

"I'm thrilled with this award and very proud of GoDaddy.com. Our growth and dominance in the world market place is a testament to GoDaddy's relentless dedication to our customers," says Parsons.

The Governor's Celebration of Innovation , now in its third year, recognizes Arizona's top technology innovators. This year it received nominations from more than 100 businesses and academic innovators from across Arizona.
