Verio Attracts Resellers with Free Month of VPS Hosting: Companies looking to boost revenues are finding Verio's Free VPS promotion the right fit for getting started as Hosting Reseller.

November 15, 2007 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Client-side search application provider tyBit (tybit.com), a subsidiary of Web hosting provider AIT (ait.com), announced on Wednesday that it has launched its adScriber program where tyBit will be giving away free advertising on its unified search application to all Web hosting companies and domain registrars.

"This is an interesting approach to search advertising," says William Presley, OSL Search Analyst. "Businesses can barter for targeted advertisements instead of paying money for ads. Search usage is traded for advertisements. While not yet keyword relevant, this allows small businesses unable to afford pay per click advertising a chance to get started. This is obviously a market stab at Google's affiliate or adSense model."

Clarence Briggs, CEO of tyBit says that adScriber ads are displayed on a run-of-site basis including video ads. He also says that tyBit is the definitive solution to click fraud and a search market alternative. Briggs says tyBit can deliver fairness, customization, accountability and transparency on top of a 40 percent revenue share, to help partners that aren't getting their fair share of online advertising dollars but clearly have subscribers.

TyBit's next release will include ad management and partner-module betas, says the company. It will also offer users their own personalized social-networking dashboard with email, IM, video player, blogging and anti-spyware. The client-side search application is scheduled for full launch in 2008.

TyBit recently signed on social networking portal Fraser Net as a channel partner.
