Massachusetts-based hosted messaging and collaboration solutions provider 123Together.com (www.123together.com) has eliminated setup fees for all new shared and dedicated hosted Exchange Server customers. Ending at the end of the month, 123Together's deal is geared toward small and medium-sized businesses is intended to help them decrease overhead, cut operating costs and get the most value from every IT dollar they spend.
The Planet Announces November Server Sale
After announcing several discounts last week including cutting private private and virtual rack additions in half, discounting multi-server environments and providing cheaper RAID Cards, IT hosting provider The Planet (www.theplanet.com) has lowered the price of select servers from its high-performance portfolio by more than 50 percent including Dual Xeon models. The DX 2.8 is now priced at $125 per month, down from $259, and the DX 3.2 at $135, down from $299.
Additionally, The Planet's lowest-priced server, the Celeron 2.0, is now $69 per month, from $89. High-end servers are also discounted. the Dual Xeon 5405 is 25 percent cheaper at $299 per month, and the Xeon 3210, priced at $179 per month, down from $199. The Planet also discounted its data protection servers, secure backup appliances featuring CDPServer software from R1Soft (www.r1soft.com) this week. Data protection servers with 1TB of storage capacity are now priced at $319 per month, and servers with 6TB of capacity are priced at $929. It is also re-offering its "Double Down Select" that lets customers choose between doubling hard drive space, RAM or bandwidth for free on select servers. The promotions end Sunday, November 16, 2008.
Blackfoot Offers Domain and Hosting Discounts
Fareham, Hampshire-based web host Blackfoot (www.blackfoot.co.uk) has launched a variety of discounted plans, packages to help individuals and small businesses "maintain their online presence cheaply during the credit crunch."
The company has reduced its .com pricing and redesigned its hosting plans, including an entry-level package for 40, which includes 500MB of web space, 5GB bandwidth and five email accounts. Its business hosting packages start at 50 annually for 1,000MB of space, 20GB of bandwidth and 100 POP3 mailboxes.
ServerPronto Adds Economy Dedicated Server Packages
Part of the "Pronto family" of companies including MailPronto and ColoPronto, discount dedicated server company ServerPronto (www.serverpronto.com) has revamped its entire line of dedicated server packages "to address recessionary fears and stalled IT budgets," according to the company. ServerPronto has added a $29.95 "Starter" package that includes 1GB of RAM and a $349.95 "Xtreme Plus" package with 8GB. It has also increased hard disk space, CPU speeds and bandwidth allotments.
