Righteous Offers Linux-Based Backup

November 2, 2006 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Technology company Righteous Software (r1soft.com) announced on Thursday it has released an all-Linux version of its Righteous Backup Server offering, calling the new tool a response to demand from the Web hosting industry.

The new product provides nearly continuous backup for Linux servers. It runs on a standalone server and can provide disk-based backup services for up to 300 Linux servers simultaneously. The solution also includes open file backups and point-in-time snapshots, and requires no third party applications.

Righteous says its Backup Server for Linux is also the only product that offers integration with leading hosting control panels, such as cPanel, Ensim and Plesk.

"We have developed a backup server solution that will truly revolutionize the way the Web hosting industry stores its data," says David Wartell, Righteous Software founder and CEO. "On every level, we have shattered the paradigm for how to backup data in a Web hosting environment. It's the only solution on the market packed with such important, practical and innovative features."
