1&1 Launches New Dedicated Server Lines

(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Web hosting provider 1&1 Internet (www.1and1.com) announced on Monday it has launched new dedicated server plans, which give customers the choice between eight different hardware class options for dedicated Linux, Windows, or 1&1 Website servers.

The company now offers a choice of five servers with Dual Core processors and three models with Quad Core CPUs.

1&1 has increased traffic allowance for no additional charge.

Dual Core L and Dual Core XL server classes have increased by 1000GB per month, while all three Quad Core server classes have increased by 2000GB.

The web host has also increased FTP backup space with its server plans.

Now, Dual Core S, M, L, and XL server classes include 250GB of FTP backup space, while Dual Core XXL, Quad Core L and Quad Core XL server packages include 400GB of FTP backup space.

The new Dual Core S Dedicated Server is priced at $49.99 per month and $59.99 per month for Windows server.

The package features the Dual Core AMD Athlon 3800-plus processor and two 160 GB hard disks as RAID 1.

For those customers that are running high demand applications, the 1&1 Quad Core XXL Dedicated Server provides a RAID 5 system with three hard disks, 1,500GB of usable storage space, and two AMD Opteron 2352 CPUs provide 8 processor cores.

Finally, 1&1′s high-end server includes 16GB of RAM and 8,000GB of traffic per month.

For a limited time, the company is offering three months of free service, with a monthly charge of $499.99 and $519.99 for Windows server, thereafter.
