(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Web host 1&1 Internet (www.1and1.com) has launched a new service that lets small business easily create websites in a matter of minutes without any need for IT experience with 100 sector-specific designs available.
1&1 MyBusiness Site, at £9.99 per month plus tax, according to 1&1′s announcement this week, let companies test the new products for free before publishing them as a fully functioning, customised website.
According to research commissioned by 1&1, many thousands of UK small businesses are still unable to build an online presence. Polling more than 500 small businesses, researchers found the most common reason for not having a website remains doubts over whether it would work for their type business (at 47 per cent), followed by lack of time (at 16 per cent), and the cost involved (also at 16 per cent.)
1&1 MyBusiness Site, the company said, offers an instant, achievable web presence.
“Before developing 1&1 MyBusiness Site, we did some very detailed market analysis,” 1&1 Internet chief executive officer Oliver Mauss said in a statement. “As a result, it was clear that a lot of traditional hosting packages are simply too complicated to fulfil the needs of a great many small business owners.”
