Verio Attracts Resellers with Free Month of VPS Hosting: Companies looking to boost revenues are finding Verio's Free VPS promotion the right fit for getting started as Hosting Reseller.

October 18, 2007 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Dedicated hosting provider The Planet (theplanet.com) announced on Thursday it has once again been named to Deloitte's Technology Fast 50 Program (fast50.com) for Texas.

The annual survey ranks the 50 fastest growing local technology, media, telecommunications and life sciences companies based on percentage revenue growth over five years from 2002 through 2006. This is the second consecutive year The Planet has been included on the Technology Fast 50, moving up four positions from last year to #12.

"Texas has become an increasingly strong technology market, evidenced by the list of companies named to the Deloitte Technology Fast 50," says Steve Kahan, The Planet VP of marketing Steve Kahan. "Our own company continues to outpace industry growth rates. We are making significant investments in our business, reinforcing our commitment to be the recognized leader for delivering on demand IT infrastructure to small- and medium-sized businesses."

To qualify for the Technology Fast 50, organizations must be based in North America and have had operating revenues of at least $50,000 in 2002 and $5,000,000 in 2006. Companies from the 16 regional Technology Fast 50 programs in the United States and Canada are automatically entered into Deloitte’s Technology Fast 500 program.

The Planet chairman and CEO Douglas J. Erwin delivered a keynote address yesterday at ISPCON Fall 2007 in San Jose, California.
