Private Domain Depot Offers .mobi

October 18, 2006 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Domain registrar and Web hosting provider Private Domain Depot (privatedomaindepot.com) announced on Wednesday it is offering .mobi domain name registrations, providing a standardized vehicle for businesses to launch mobile-ready Web sites that complement their main sites.

The new .mobi domain name enables businesses to supplement their existing sites. The domain is designed to make more of the Web viewable on tiny mobile screens, says Private Domain Depot, and will offer mobile visitors a better browsing experience.

Private Domain Depot says the WebSite Tonight site builder now supports .mobi Web sites, enabling customers to build .mobi-compliant Web sites that complement their existing or future Web sites.

The company says businesses should buy .mobi domains early to avoid licensing issues and cyber-squatters, and to protect their brands from competitors who might wish to take advantage of the name recognition generated by popular .com domains.
