October 12, 2007 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- IT security solution provider Juniper (juniper.net) announced on Thursday that Canadian broadband solutions provider Radiant Communications (radiant.net) is using its network infrastructure to deploy a new virtual private network offering.
Radiant has deployed Juniper Networks' M-series multiservice routers and E-series IP Edge and broadband services routers at its major data centers across Canada. The company has also deployed Junipers’ secure services gateway 550s and secure access 6000 SSL VPN solutions in its network core.
Radiant says the Juniper network infrastructure will underpin its TriplePlay VPN, a unique new VPN service that provides customers with a single, managed VPN that supports SSL, IPSec and multiprotocol label switching traffic. By supporting multiple VPN protocols, the TriplePlay VPN service provides the kind of flexibility that was previously unavailable for customers in a simple, cost-effective package, says the company.
"Juniper had all the pieces we required to build an infrastructure to support our customers' growing needs for performance, security and capacity," says Adrian Byram, executive vice president and CTO of Radiant Communications. "Juniper's high-performance network infrastructure has allowed us to create a single network environment that is unique in Canada and has the flexibility and scale to grow with our customers' businesses."
PEER 1 also recently signed an agreement with Juniper to accommodate its needs.
