October 9, 2008 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Data center operator and holdings company Digital Realty Trust (www.digitalrealtytrust.com) announced on Thursday it has completed a turn-key data center lease agreement with IBM in Digital Realty Trust's property located in suburban Paris.

"We are very pleased to establish our relationship with IBM in France with this new turn-Key data center agreement," says Bernard Geoghegan, senior VP of Europe of Digital Realty Trust. "In terms of speed to market, with our turn-key data center product based on our POD Architecture we are able to meet the data center requirements of customers such as IBM in six to eight weeks from the time we come to an agreement -- well ahead of current industry standards."

The company says its own POD Architecture design configuration and construction methodology helps promote the energy efficiency needed for green data center operation, offering advanced cooling, power, redundancy, and sustainability features.

Last month, the company began offering emergency fuel delivery, via a partnership with Fossil Fuels, for power generators at all of its US turn-key data center facilities, enabling customers to maintain their data center operations even during outages caused by natural disasters.

Located in markets throughout Europe and North America, DRT's turn-key date centers are physically secure and are scalable from hundreds of kilowatts of IT Load to megawatts of IT load.

The company has received considerable recognition for upholding high standards in its facilties. In September, DRT received the first BREEAM "Excellent" rating in the UK from the Building Research Establishment's environmental certification program for its new, 10,000 square meter data center in south England.

Digital Realty Trust owns, acquires, redevelops, develops and manages technology-related real estate. The company provides turn-key data center and Powered Base Building data center solutions for domestic and international tenants.
