AIT Offers Free Domain Registration October 4, 2006 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Web hosting provider AIT (ait.com) announced on Tuesday it is offering free domain registration with each hosting account. AIT says that although nearly 80 to 90 million domain names are currently registered worldwide, hundreds of small business in the United States still lack Web sites, cutting themselves off from a potential global market and also limiting their reach domestically. "This is a no-risk means of establishing an online identity, so business owners can see for themselves the value of reaching new markets," says Clarence Briggs, AIT's CEO. "In terms of return on investment, no vehicle provides as great a ratio as an Internet presence, unless businesses don't want to participate in a venue where tens of billions of dollars in transactions occur. Their only investment is the monthly hosting fee and that's as small as pennies per day. The domain name can be theirs forever."     AIT provides dedicated and shared Web hosting plans based on Linux, Windows and other platforms. AIT also recently introduced a hosted IP camera solution designed for daycare centers, nursing homes, office buildings and other locations.
