October 1, 2007 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Data center operator and managed services provider Peak 10 (peak10.com) announced on Monday it has signed specialty grocery store, The Fresh Market (thefreshmarket.com) to its growing portfolio of customers. The Fresh Market is expanding into the Midwest and is using Peak 10's Louisville, Kentucky data center as a secondary information technology site to enhance its business continuity capabilities.

The Fresh Market says it provides its customers with a unique food shopping experience by offering high quality, reasonably-priced perishables. The Fresh Market operates a growing number of retail outlets, as well as a successful online marketplace where visitors can purchase specialty foods and gift items. Peak 10's business continuity solutions will enable the grocery store chain to keep both its online and physical retail operations, even in the event of any unforeseen service interruptions to mission-critical applications and customer data.  "Peak 10 is experienced in providing proven business continuity solutions to growing companies like The Fresh Market who deal with an incredible amount of personal customer data," says Greg Rollet, VP and GM of Peak 10 Raleigh. "The Fresh Market is clever to utilize Peak 10's data replication services to ensure their data is secure."

The Fresh Market was serviced via Peak 10's Greensboro, North Carolina sales office, which was opened late last year to meet the demands for Peak 10 services among businesses in the Triad area. Peak 10 Raleigh recently added 42,000 square feet of space to its facility, bringing the total size of the data center to approximately 70,000 square feet and making it into one of the largest data centers in the region and the largest in the Peak 10 family.

Peak 10 announced last week it will host a live Web cast that will reveal the steps necessary for companies to effectively secure their systems and data from unauthorized online access.
