The Planet, ModernGigabyte Partnership

September 19, 2006 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Web hosting billing software firm ModernGigabyte (moderngigabyte.com) along with Web hosting provider The Planet (theplanet.com) announced on Monday that they had integrated the Cortex game control panel of The Planet�s Insomnia365 into the ModernBill billing software. The Planet will resell ModernBill as an add-on to its dedicated game servers.

The integration of Cortex into the ModernBill system provides game hosting companies with a complete solution including game management, network management, user management and server management. The Cortex module in ModernBill can be configured within minutes of installing the system, and the game panel includes popular games such as Counter-Strike, Half-Life 2, Halo, Battlefield, and Call of Duty.

"The integration of ModernBill and the Insomnia365 Cortex game control panel allows our game hosting customers to run their companies more efficiently," says Kristin Herring, marketing director at The Planet. "The ModernBill system packs so many useful features that are required for a company needing billing that it was an easy choice to establish a partnership and get the module integrated as quickly as possible."

The Planet is also reselling ModernBill with its dedicated game hosting servers, providing customers with more choices and greater control as to how they run their business. These incentives provide greater automation and flexibility for game hosting companies so they can customize the system to fit into their existing brand using a feature-rich template system using Smarty.
