September 11, 2008 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Web hosting software provider Parallels (parallels.com) announced on Thursday that application hosting and managed services provider Pointivity (pointivity.com) will offer its on-demand hosted applications, Microsoft Exchange and Sharepoint, with Parallels Automation.

Parallels Automation delivers hosting solutions through a multi-layer control panel with integrated billing, enabling Pointivity to automate all processes including online ordering, provisioning, billing and reporting.

The solution's modular design and flexible architecture gives users the ability to expand to include new services and scale to several million customers, says Parallels.

In July, Parallels began integrating Secure64 DNS with Parallels Automation, enabling service providers who use Parallels Automation to manage Secure64 servers within their data centers.

Pointivity solutions is built on cloud computing technology, offering the scalable deployment of applications and utility computing on a pay-as-you-go model.

The company says it will offer hosted Microsoft Exchange and SharePoint solutions as a reseller program, enabling partners to benefit from recurring revenue stream with turn-key private label capability.

"Pointivity's application hosting services provide a new opportunity for resellers," says Serguei Beloussov, CEO of Parallels. "Using Parallels Automation to deliver resources extends reach to a large market of companies that may not have the in-house resources needed to develop and manage all aspects of their IT."

By joining the Parallels Partner Program, Pointivity gains access to Parallels technology and resources to automate the delivery of hosted services and online billing.

The company will receive many benefits, including increasing its market exposure, expanding its business opportunities, the ability to joint strategic sales and marketing initiatives, access to an extensive and growing customer base and a high level of service and support.
