RingLead Uses OpSource Solution

By theWHIR.com , September 11, 2007

September 11, 2007 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Software as a service provider OpSource (opsource.net) announced on Monday that de-duplication service provider RingLead (ringlead.com) has chosen OpSource On-Demand to deliver its Declone de-duplication tools for Salesforce.com (salesforce.com) users.

RingLead says it selected OpSource's On-Demand solution to enable the company's staff members to devote their time and resources to creating and further developing applications rather than delivering them. Also, because OpSource On-Demand is certified by AppExchange, RingLead's Declone applications benefit from accelerated AppExchange certification, says the company.

Declone Web-to-Lead, Declone New Lead and Declone Mass List stop duplicate leads or contacts from entering a customer's Salesforce.com database by matching data from online contact forms, manually created leads or imported lists with existing contacts or leads and updating those records without losing any data. The fourth application, Declone Data Cleansing, identifies existing duplicate leads, contacts and accounts within Salesforce.com.

"OpSource solved our performance issues while giving us peace of mind," says Steve Lehr, founder and president of RingLead. "With OpSource, we know that someone who is familiar with our application is able to fix an operational problem at any time of day or night. Also, OpSource's 'pay-as-you-grow' business model ensures that as we expand our business, OpSource will automatically provide whatever infrastructure is necessary to meet our new delivery requirements. And no question, the short path to AppExchange certification was a major benefit."

Last week, OpSource said Salesforce.com's AppExchange ISV partners could cut their time to market by 33 percent by deploying OpSource On-Demand for Web application delivery.

October 2009 - Web Hosting's All Star Team
This has been, for us, one of the most interesting, exciting and challenging build-ups to an issue of the magazine yet, Web Hosting's All Star Team. The balloting process was our first experiment with a kind of user participation we're planning to do a lot more with in the months to come. We had thousands of ballots submitted, with hundreds of write-in suggestions and a demonstration of user engagement that has us feeling super positive about the project.

July 2009 - What am I Worth?
One of the interesting luxuries of working on a project like the printed WHIR magazine is that it allows us to play with things like our point of view from one issue to the next. In recent months we've been giving added attention to the kind of practical and applicable advice aimed at smaller hosts and resellers. This issue carries on with that point of view, asking, in our cover story, "what am I worth?" It's a complicated question without a clear-cut answer.

May 2009 - The Blueprint for a Small Web Host
I was a little surprised by how difficult it became to see this idea through. We set out to assemble a blueprint for a small hosting business, but butted up pretty quickly against the general impossibility of covering all the territory that was out there to be covered. The basic constraints of a printed magazine, and the less-than-infinite amount of time we had available forced us to face the fact that we could never produce an exhaustive guide to starting a hosting company.
