September 3, 2008 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Managed services provider Atlantic Metro Communications (atlanticmetro.net) has acquired data center space at one of New York City's newest premier carrier hotels raising its footprint to 12 points of presence and five fully interconnected data centers nationwide including two in New York.
Offering colocation, IP transit and dark fiber solutions, AMC announced Wednesday it has signed a five-year lease to occupy 280 cabinets at The Hub at 32 Sixth (thehubat32sixth.com), a true carrier-neutral colocation facility and interconnection carrier hotel.
Rated at 150 Watts per square foot, The Hub is one of the highest power facilities in Manhattan. It also offers 15-foot ceilings, 24-hour security and high-profile tenants AT&T, Cogent Communications, Time Warner Telecom and Worldcom.
AMC also recently announced it had achieved SAS 70 certification and entered into a 5-year agreement with SAS 70 (sas70solutions.com) audit services to conduct bi-annual policies and procedures audits.
"We are excited to announce our new Internet Data Center facility in New York City at 32 Avenue of the Americas," AMC chief executive officer Stephen Klenert said in a statement. "We worked hard to pass our SAS 70 audit and we're very proud of this accomplishment...it is important that AMC continues to exceed our customer's expectations for service, especially in such a competitive market."
According to AMC, it differentiates its service from competitors by offering its 'White Glove Service' with each installation, providing customers fully managed installation support and testing of their equipment. Its new, New York server space is available for immediate occupancy.
