August 30, 2007 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Japanese Web hosting provider Internet Initiative Japan (iij.ad.jp/en/) announced on Wednesday it has launched its new Web hosting service.

The company says it is "one of Japan's leading Internet access and comprehensive network solutions providers" and has launched the IIJ Secure Web Platform. The platform "provides the reliability, safety and flexibility needed for corporate Web site construction", while enabling customers to choose Web hosting services and functions that best meet their needs, says IIJ.

IIJ offers services ranging from minimum level functionality offerings to high-grade offerings that provide customers with defacement detection, DDoS prevention and overload management.

The company's fully redundant server installations also offer virus checking and automated content back-up functions to keep Web sites optimized and secure. IIJ has also hired a team of specialist engineers to provide around the clock support.
