Go Daddy Offers .mobi Incentives

August 30, 2006 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Web host and domain registrar Go Daddy (godaddy.com) announced on Wednesday that it is planning a set of services to surround the launch of the .mobi domain, beginning with the pre-registration period.

Go Daddy says customers who register their .mobi domains through Go Daddy right now will receive free hosting and Web site builders. The tools are designed to make it easy to create Web sites compliant with the standards for .mobi content and host them with Go Daddy.

The company says customers looking to protect their trademarks can pre-register .mobi domains and park them with placeholder pages.

The offerings also include free .mobi email accounts that incorporate mobile access through Go Daddy's MobileMail.

"This is an Internet browsing revolution and we've worked to make the mobile Net experience easier and more reliable for our customers," says Bob Parsons, CEO and founder of The Go Daddy Group.
